Miss Bette Jane Neuman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neuman of Loyal, and Cpl. Clifford Anton, formerly of Neillsville, were united in marriage at St. Anthony’s Catholic church here on Wednesday, July 26. The Rev. Aloys Zinthefer performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore a white taffeta dress, trimmed with imported lace. Her flowers were a prayer book corsage of gardenia streamers. The maid of honor was Miss Florence Gebhardt of Milwaukee, a friend of the bride who wore a gown of yellow marquisette and whose flowers were a colonial bouquet. The bridesmaids were Mrs. K. J. Neuman of Milwaukee and Miss Helen Murray of Loyal, who wore pink and aqua marquisette and carried colonial bouquets.
The best man was Frank Svetlik of Neillsville. Ushers were Raymond Neuman of Loyal and LeVair Neuman of Milwaukee, brothers of the bride.
The bride’s mother wore a gown of flowered print. Her flowers were gardenias.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride is a graduate of Loyal high school and for the past two years has been employed by the Wisconsin Motor Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Corporal Anton is a graduate of Drake (N.D.) high school and was with the Clark County Press of Neillsville until his induction into the army. He was among the early selectees and has spent about two years in the Caribbean area. He is now stationed in Texas and is under the necessity of an almost immediate return, having only a few days for his honeymoon.
The Loyal Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for happiness.
