Johnson, Patricia (Marriage - 22 Oct. 1960)
Miss Patricia Johnson of Colby, niece of Mrs. Herman Kops, and Richard Kilty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kilty of Unity, were married in Zion Lutheran church in Colby Saturday, Oct. 22, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating at the marriage ceremony. Miss Jvonne Pacholke of Eau Claire was maid of honor and Mrs. Robert Johnson of New Berlin and Miss Karen Kops of Colby were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Reid Johnson as best man and Robert Johnson and Roger Kilty were groomsmen.
The bride was attired in a floor length gown of Chant lace with tiers of lace on skirt edged with sequins, fitted bodice of lace and long tapered sleeves, scalloped Sabrina neckline, fingertip veil of sheer illusion imported net, hand rolled edge. Her headpiece consisted of red roses, white carnations and stephanotis.
Her attendants wore strapless floor length gowns of nylon sheer with cover-up jackets, flounce bottom skirt embroidered over skirt, matching headpieces with face veils, in light rose and blue, respectively. Their colonial bouquets consisted of white and blue tinted pomps surrounded with white carnations.
A reception was held at Kilty’s Bar, supper was served at the church hall and the dance in the evening was at the Unity Memorial Hall.
The couple will make their home in Colby, Wis. The groom is employed by Marc Construction in Milwaukee and the bride is employed by the Colby State Bank.
Both the bride and groom attended Colby High School.
