O’Keefe, Mrs. Gilbert (18 APR 1950)

Mrs. Gilbert O’Keefe, Watertown, Wis., and a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Rev. James Irish, pastor of the Methodist Church for the past sixteen years, were married in a four p.m. ceremony Tuesday, April 18th, 1950, in the First Methodist Church Parsonage. The Rev. don Stannard read the service.

The bride chose a navy blue suit and hat with white accessories. Completing her attire was a white corsage of gardenias and roses.

Serving her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. B. V. Krueger of Watertown, who also wore a navy blue suit with pink hat and pink accessories. Her corsage was of pink carnations and roses.

Following the ceremony a six o’clock dinner was served to the wedding party at the Hotel Carlton.

The couple left on a wedding trip, and after the groom’s retirement from the ministry on June 1st, they will make their home in Watertown and will be at home to friends at 913 South Tenth St.
