Schield, Kenneth (1950)

Kenneth Schield, Hurt in Korea; now in the states - Neillsville relatives have received word that Kenneth Schield, son of former local residents, has been removed to an army hospital in Alabama.

Kenneth received shrapnel wounds in his arms, legs and a foot in the fighting in Korea. He was flown to Japan, and then was brought to the United States for hospitalization.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schield of Chicago, and a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schield and Helen Gall of Neillsville. Another son of the Nick Shields’, Donald, is in the army and is stationed in Texas.
