Ralph Edward Rueth was born on July 15,
1954, the son of Edward and Florence (Schmidt) Rueth. He grew up on the family
farm and received his education at St. Anthony's Catholic School and from Loyal
High School. Ralph enjoyed many years of farming and spending time with his
family and friends. As a young man he worked in Texas in construction before
returning to the farm. He enjoyed deer hunting up north and in the woodlands
around the farm. He farmed side by side with his brother Roger, and nephews
until the time of his death. Ralph was one of the few people who could tear
apart a tractor to the last piece and re-assemble it. He enjoyed cooking with
his crock pot and loved sheephead. Ralph was a very dedicated Son, Father,
Uncle, Brother, and Friend. He loved feeding his cows and tilling the land, and
often spent his quiet time driving the tractor or at home in prayer and was
dedicated to the lord. He always donated his IGA points to the food pantry.
He will be dearly missed by his family. Ralph was the fourth oldest child in
the Rueth Family and is survived by Robert (Marie) Rueth, Thomas (Anne) Rueth,
Roger (Alora) Rueth all of Loyal, Susan (Michael) Rueth-Gumz of Athens, Bengie
(Larry) Quelle of Loyal, Roy (Helen) Rueth of Unity, Rose Lindekugel (Neal
Mondloch) of Loyal, Kay Krings (John) Rafferty of New Brighton, MN, his
Brother-in-law Donald Bangart of Greenwood; and many numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter,
Angel Dawn Rueth, on April 20, 1990; his parents, Edward and Florence Rueth; his
older sister Patricia J. Bangart on August 28, 2013; and his nephew, Adam L.
Quelle on May 19, 1993.
His strength and strong faith was known by his
family and friends. His big heart and fuzzy beard will be dearly missed by all
who loved and knew him. We will love you always and forever Jiggs.
The
family will welcome donations of cash and canned goods at the wake and funeral
to be donated to the local food pantries.
