Leach, Thomas (13 December 1863 - 17 October 1950)

Funeral services for Thomas Leach, 86, Greenwood, were held on Friday from Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. Lee Holmes officiated. The body was interred in the Greenwood Cemetery. He died at Owen on Tuesday.

Mr. Leach was born at Gilmanton December 13, 1863, and received his education at Eleva. On March 14, 1888, he was married to Edith Hanny, who preceded him in death.

The couple lived at Eleva until 1900 when they moved to the Town of Eaton, near Greenwood. In 1908 they moved from the farm to Greenwood, where Mr. Leach operated a meat market until 1932. In that year they moved to a farm 2 ½ miles southwest of Greenwood. He lived in the Greenwood area for 50 years.

Surviving are two sons, Ira of Neillsville and Erwin at home.

Deceased relatives are a daughter, a grandchild, three sisters and three brothers.
