Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Eder attended the funeral of a cousin, Otto Gumz, at Fond du Lac Friday.

Otto Gumz

Otto Gumz, a resident of Fond du Lac and a frequent visitor to Oshkosh, died Tuesday evening in Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Duggan's Funeral Home in Fond du Lac, followed by burial in a Fond du Lac Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Thursday until the hour of services.

*Otto Gumz was the husband of Mary (Mamie) Adrian (b. 4 Feb 1888 - 9 Apr 1984).  She was the daughter of Peter (John) Adrian and Alice Pfieffer.  Their son, Frederick J. Gumz was born 11 May 1911 and died 23 Aug 1990.  The second son, Floyd Sr. A. Gumz was born 27 Jan 1913 and passed away 11 Oct 1991.  Their 3rd son, Donald Gumz was born 17 Jan 1913 and died 13 Jan 2006.  Their daughter, Ruth Ann (b. 1917), married Richard Hanson.

Mrs. Clara Mary Gumz, 29, wife of Otto H. Gumz, died at S t Catherine's hospital Tuesday, afternoon following a long illness. She was born in Wheatland township, Kenosha county, June 22, 1913.

Ruth Ann (Gumz) Hanson

MR. AND MRS. Richard A Hanson were feted at a dinner for 20 guests followed by a reception for 200 at the Colonial Inn following their marriage today at 9:30 a.m., in St. Dennis Catholic Church. The Rev. Delbert Klink officiated.

The bride is the former Miss Ruth Ann Gumz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto E. Gumz 1300 Wyldhaven Ave. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian F. Hanson, 105 Morningside Ave., are the bridegroom's parents.

The bride chose a floor-length lace and organza gown. Her organza veil was trimmed with pearls, and she carried red roses with white carnations.
