Krueger, Madeline (23 June 1893 - 5 Dec. 1960)
Mrs. Lena Krueger of Curtiss, Wisconsin died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Monday morning at 9:50 at the age of 87 years, complications following a cerebral operation being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Green Grove, Rev. Howard Timmermann officiating and burial will be made in the Green Grove cemetery.
Madeline (Lena) Glenzer was born in the town of Colby on June 23, 1893. She married William Krueger in Colby in 1911 and lived in the Curtiss-Colby area during her entire life with the exception of several years when she worked at the Clark County Hospital at Owen. Her husband passed away in 1958.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Viola) Untied of Curtiss and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Gosse of Curtiss; one son, Melvin, of Milan; 17 grand children and two great grand children.
Besides her husband, one son, Gerhardt, preceded her in death in May, 1960, three brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Krueger was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and always endeavored to live up to the teachings of her church. She was well known for her friendly and industrious ways, always endeavoring to perform her duties honestly and well.
