Johnson, Margaret L. (1 Oct. 1932 - 10 Feb. 2009)

NEILLSVILLE -- Margaret L. Johnson, 76, of Neillsville died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, surrounded by family in the care of the Clark County Health Care Center and Ministry Hospice Services at Owen.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the service.

Margaret was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Kewaunee, the daughter of Jerome and Lillian Hammond. She was married to Lyall E. Johnson on June 18, 1950, at the Evangelical Reform Church in Neillsville. They resided in a home on the Marg Farm for several years. In 1959, they purchased land near Snyder Dam and built their own lifetime home.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Lyall; her children, Glenn (Cathy) Johnson of Eau Claire, Gail (Tim) Hesselschwardt of Augusta; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gerldine (Carlos) Rosas of Phoenix, Ariz., and Irene (Robert) Saul of Cumberland.
