Neillsville United Methodist Church (Meeting - Feb 1971)

The Women’s Society of Christian Service of the Neillsville United Methodist Church met at the church last week Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Instead of the usual monthly program the women devoted their entire afternoon to a community service project.

One group spent the afternoon rolling bandages to be sent to Church World Service.

Another group devoted it s time to quilt-making; this is a project the society keeps up at all times. Whenever a family in the community or the surrounding area has a fire it is given a quilt or quilts from the church.

The third group worked on a mitten project at the request of the Clark County Department of Social Services. The mittens, which were made out of sweaters, will be given anywhere they will be helpful or needed.
