Schefus, Ella (08 Feb 1915 – 04 Nov 1966)
Services were held Monday,
November 7, at 22 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Herman (Ella)
Schefus, 51, who died at 3:30 a.m. Friday, November 4 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, after a lingering illness.
The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer
officiated and burial was to the Lutheran cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.
The congregation sang “Softly and Tenderly”
and “Jesus As Thou Wilt”. Mrs. John A. Olsen was the organist.
Pallbearers were Dan Ellison, Oscar Olson, Walter Krahn, Albert Haselow, Erwin
Dux and Herman Noeldner.
The former Ella Fravert was born February 5,
1915 at Rib Lake and came to the Loyal area as a child with her parents. June 6,
1934 she married Herman Schefus, who survives her, at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Loyal. After their marriage they farmed in the town of Loyal until they moved to
the city of Loyal.
Mrs. Schefus was a member of the Trinity Lutheran
Women of the Church and was on the Sunday School Staff for many years.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son Dennis of Waukesha; and a daughter,
Mrs. James (Barbara) Mercer, Marshfield; five grandchildren; 1 sister. Mrs.
Lester Kenyon, Spencer; and three brothers, Arthur and Alvin of Loyal, and
Edward of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
The

Judy, Mr. and Mrs.Edward Fravert and Dickie, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kasper and Mrs.
Amanda Seitz, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo
Trimberher, Granton.
