Polzin, Lois M. (7 Dec. 1923 - 14 Feb. 2009)

Lois M. Polzin, 85, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Feb. 14, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Visitation will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A funeral service will take place at the church at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker will officiate. Burial will take place following the service at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

She was born to Earl and Nettie Knight in New Auburn, on Dec. 7, 1923. She was married to Bernard Polzin on March 30, 1949, in Pine City, Minn. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children Ted (Bonnie) Polzin of Colby, Mary Schalk of Allenton, Ester (Allen) Bremmer of Schofield, John (Marcia) Polzin of Elkhorn, Rodger (CJ) Polzin of Hatley, Ronald (Claudia) of Temple, Texas, Nancy Polzin of Medford, David Polzin of Weston, Bunny (Steve) Mertens of Coloma, Charlie (Deb) Polzin of Stratford, Gloria (Mark) Homer of Medford; 34 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Abbotsford, Wis. -- Lois M. Polzin, 85, of Abbotsford, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Saint Josephs Hospital in Marshfield.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, Wis. A funeral service will take place at the church at 11 a.m. Burial will take place following the service in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Lois was born Dec. 7, 1923, to Earl and Nettie Knight in New Auburn. She was married on March 30, 1949, to Bernard Polzin in Pine City, Minn. He preceded her in death.

The couple later settled in Abbotsford, Wis. She was engaged as a homemaker for many years.

She is survived by her children, Ted (Bonnie) Polzin of Colby, Mary Schalk of Allenton, Esther (Allen) Bremer of Schofield, John (Marcia) Polzin of Elkhorn, Roger (CJ) Polzin of Hatley, Ronald (Claudia) of Temple, Texas, Nancy Polzin of Medford, David Polzin of Weston, Bunny (Steve) Mertens of Coloma, Charlie (Deb) Polzin of Stratford, and Gloria (Mark) Homer of Medford; 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
