Stroinksi, Leona (9 SEP 1950)
The new St. Hedwig’s Chapel at Thorp was the scene of a pretty wedding at 9:00 o’clock on the morning of Sept. 9, 1950, when Rev. Francis Piekarski joined in the holy bonds of matrimony, Mr. Erwin Klick, son of Mrs. Pearl Klick, and Miss Leona Stroinski, daughter of Mrs. Ann Stroinski, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, John Stroinski, was attired in a gown of white satin with a Queen Elizabeth collar and lace trimmed peplum, chapel length, with no train. Her crown was composed of a white satin braid with three-quarter length veil and her wedding bouquet was of white roses and white gladiolas.
The couple was attended by Raymond Stroinski, brother of the bride, and Valeria Klick, sister of the groom, who wore a teal blue satin dress styled similar to that of the bride. Mrs. Wayne Sonderoth, sister of the groom, who was matron of honor, was attired in a gold satin gown.
Other bridesmaids were Virginia Klick, Marcella Teclaw and Audrey Czyzewicz, all dressed in identical teal blue satin. The bridesmaids and matron of honor carried colonial bouquets of mums and gladiolas.
The groom and his attendants were attired in tuxedos.
A reception was tendered the couple at Tec’s Cozy Inn in the Town of Withee, and in the eveing a wedding dance was enjoyed by all at Mileaway Ballroom.
The newlyweds will reside in Thorp.
