Miss Virginia Van Kirk and Donald Johnson exchanged wedding vows at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Sept. 2, 1950, at the Evangelical Reform Church in Humbird.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Kirk of Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mrs. Jens Peter Johnson of Thorp.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of white brocaded satin with a long train. A fingertip veil was held in place with orange blossoms. She carried red roses and glads.
Viola Johnson of Thorp, sister of the groom was bridesmaid. She wore a gown of pink taffeta with net overskirt. She wore pearls of pink and blue, a gift of the bride. She carried red carnations.
Barbara Van Kirk of Humbird, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a blue gown like the maid of honor. She also wore pink and blue pearls and carried red carnations.
Warren Van Kirk was best man and the other gentleman attendant was Norman Hasse, Neillsville.
Delores Hasse, Neillsville, and Elsie Johnson of Thorp served as ushers.
Several out of town guests attended the wedding.
