Tomczak, Clarence (1936? - 23 SEP 1950)

Clarence Tomczak, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Tomczak, who lived seven miles northwest of here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) died Saturday at 5:30 p.m. as a result of injuries received when he was struck by a pick-up truck in front of his farm home.

The accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. when Clarence was riding his motor bike. Peter Depa, 19, Thorp, driver of the truck was going north on a township road and did not see the boy as he came out of his driveway because of overhanging bushes on the roadside.

The boy’s parents who witnessed the accident, rushed him to the Stanley hospital, where he died that evening.

His injuries included a skull fracture, a fracture of the left arm, and internal injuries. Authorities have stated that no inquest would be held.
