At St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 21, 1950, Rev. Frances Piekarski united in marriage Miss Estelle Elizabeth Michur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Michur of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Patrick Frances Mendalski of Thorp, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mendalski of Boyceville, Wis.
The bride wore for her wedding a white satin gown with tiers of Chantilly lace on skirt and a yoke of marquisette, and off shoulder collar effect. A fingertip veil was fastened to a halo headpiece trimmed with pearls. She carried a white prayer book with two orchids as her bouquet. Carol Soderberg, attired in a white satin gown and a halo headpiece, carrying a beautiful basket of mums and roses, acted as flower girl. Edward Michur, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer, wearing a tuxedo, carrying a white satin heart shaped pillow.
Mrs. Evelyn Roytek of Thorp, matron of honor, and sister of the bride, wore a blue slipper satin gown and matching halo headpiece and carried a bouquet of mums and roses.
The bridesmaids were Delores Sopiarz, Thorp, friend of the bride, who wore a rose slipper satin Gown. Harriet Plummer of Stanley, cousin of the groom, wore peach satin, with matching halo headpieces and all carried heart shaped bouquets of mums and roses.
The groom had as his attendants Herman Mendalski of St. Paul, brother of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were Steve Levien of St. Paul, a friend, and Geo. Mendalski, brother of the groom. Groom and his attendants wore tuxedos. Ushers were Barney Roytek, Thorp, brother-in-law of the bride, Staley Michur, Waukegan, Ill., brother of the bride.
A wedding breakfast was served at 12 o’clock noon and a reception was held at 5 o’clock at the American Legion Hall in Thorp.
The groom is employed at the Thorp Pipe and Supply Co., Thorp. The bride is employed at the Ben Franklin Store.

M.
