Olson, Sylvia (29 Aug. 1902 - 30 Jan. 1961)

Mrs. Clarence Olson of Marshfield, formerly of Colby, died of a heart attack Monday morning at her home at the age of 58 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Immanuel Lutheran church in Marshfield, Rev. G. M. Krueger officiating, and burial was made in Hillside cemetery.

Sylvia Vanderhoff was born in Loyal on August 29, 1902, and moved to Montana with her parents at an early age and lived there until 1917 when the family moved to Abbotsford, Wis. After her marriage to Clarence Olson on February 9, 1919, at Abbotsford, the couple came to Colby and operated a cheese factory until 1944 when they went to Marshfield.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Gladys) Frome of Marshfield; a son, LaVerne of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Terrance (Mildred) Collins and Mrs. Ed (Doris) Collins, both of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Walter (Roselyn) Stabnow of St. Paul, Minn.; and four grand children. A son, who died in infancy, and three brothers preceded her in death.
