At the recent town caucus the following were put
on the slate of offices: Angus Flood, Willard Putman, for town chairman;
sideboard, Ellis Williams, Glen Stuve, Milton Washburn; treasurer, Mrs. Glen
Stuve, Leona Krumholz; clerk, Audrey Johnson; Assessor, Mrs. Dick Walker;
constable, Clarence Lund, Ed Shramek.
It is reported that Laffe’s food
market has been sold. The new owners are to take possession April 1.
Mr.
and Mrs. Art Allen have sold their home and purchased a trailer home, which will
be located on the property of Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips. The trailer home was
brought in Monday but due to soft ground could not be put in place.
Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Matti called Thursday at the home of Mrs. Iva Meinholdt in
Merrillan.
Mrs. Emma Gerber accompanied Mrs. Joyce Janke and children of
Alma Center to Rockford, Ill., Friday where they visited relatives.
Mr.
and Mrs. Dennis Potvin and son, Norman, of St. Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Everett
Smith of Spencer were here last Sunday to attend the Golden Wedding open house
of Mr. and Mrs. William Staves.
