Marie E. Sill, 98, of Colby, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Colonial Center in Colby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Colby.

Marie E. Sill, age 98, of Colby, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Colonial Center in Colby. Marie was born on March 9, 1915 the daughter of Otto and Anna (Orth) Baumgart in Colby. She graduated from Colby High School. Marie was united in marriage to Otto Sill on June 25, 1940 in Colby. They moved to Kansas City, MO until retiring in Spencer in 1983. Otto preceded her in death in 1985.

Marie liked shopping, walking and working in the outdoors. She especially enjoyed visiting with her family.

Marie is survived by two nieces: Mary (Bill) Graumann of La Crosse and Marlene (Isaac) Israelson of Holmen; a sister-in-law, Irene Sill of Racine and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Otto; a brother, Harold (Rosie) Baumgart; two brothers-in-law: Paul Sill and Norman (Audrey) Sill and a sister-in-law, Alma Sill.
