Romerns, Darlene Marie (Marriage - 15 Apr. 1961)
Miss Darlene Romens of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Romens of Unity, and Daniel Roy Bolander of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bolander of Milwaukee, were married Saturday morning, April 15, in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby by Rev. John B. Pinion. The couple is now residing at 1743 N. Cambridge St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Wearing a ballerina-length gown of imported Chantilly lace fashioned with bouffant skirt, short sleeves and matching gauntlets, the bride completed her ensemble with a tiara of sequins and seed pearls securing her fingertip veil. She carried a white orchid with red roses.
Preceding the bride down the aisle were her aides - Mrs. Jerome Jolitz of Milwaukee, the matron of honor, and Miss Beverly Romens of Unity, the bridesmaid. Their ballerina-length gowns of silk organza, in blue and shell pink, respectively, were complemented with matching hats of organza petals with veils. The backs of the bouffant skirts were tiered and at the waistlines were seen self roses. Both carried pink carnations.
The groom was attended by Jerome Jolitz of Milwaukee as best man and Raymond Bolander, groomsman. Ushers were Leon Romens and Bruce Bolander.
The wedding dinner and reception were held at Colby’s Tavern at Unity, Wis.
The bride, a graduate of Colby High School, class of 1959, has been employed by the Cornell Paper Boards Products Co. The groom, a 1955 graduate of Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, is working at the Sealtest ice cream plant.
