Art Steinke, who had been a patient at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, returned home.

Mrs. Ray Metzger of Los Gatos, Calif., spent the week-end with her cousin, Mrs. C. J. Kraus.

Mrs. James Blanchard and daughter of Milwaukee spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weddig.

Mr. and Mrs. Halver Becken, Sr., returned home after spending five weeks in Biloxi, Miss., with their daughter and family.

Dale Schmidt and Marjorie Elblein of Burlington spent the past week with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garry Schmidt.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jakel, who recently sold their farm to Clarence Tyznik, have moved into the upstairs apartment of Mrs. A. M. Steinwand.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schramm of Glencoe, Ill., called on Mrs. Emma Welsch and Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Dessloch Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Schultz of Unity were Sunday dinner guests at the N. L. Dessloch residence.

Mrs. Edna C. Waldhart and son, Buzzie, spent the week-end with the Wm. Waldhart and Gilbert Waldhart families, the Fred Rehfeldt and Jack Holcomb families and Mrs. Emil Droes and family, all of Appleton.

Robert Partridge of Colby and William Heimerl of Medford spent several days in Clara City, Minn., where they attended a buying convention. While they were there, Mrs. Partridge visited with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Heimerl, at Medford.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wiersig and family of Two Rivers spent Saturday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig, and Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Johnson and family visited with Mrs. Johnson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiersig.

Karen Runzheimer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Runzheimer, recently accepted a position as teacher of English and dramatics at the East Troy, Wisconsin high school for the 1961 - 1962 term. Miss Runzheimer attended the UW Extension Center at Wausau for two years and on June 9 will be graduated from Whitewater State College with a B.E. degree.
