Colby - May 25, 1961

A son, Samuel Steven, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hasenohrl at Tucson, Ariz.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Van Dreel of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital May 23rd, 1961.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brock of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital May 20.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Baumann of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital May 18.

Mr. and Mrs. Lenhart Wiersig of Austin, Minn., spent Saturday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rosselet and children of Milwaukee spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kobs.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer left for Chicago, Ill., and Marion, Ind., Wednesday night for a visit with their daughters and families.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Stieber and two children spent several days at Friendship with the former’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Stieber, and children.

Wilgert Rasmussen and family of Milwaukee spent the week-end with his father, Charles Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. Art Brown of Athens called at the Rasmussen home Sunday.

Mrs. Wm. C. Pacholke will leave for Wausau, Eau Claire and Rochester, Minn., this week-end to join her children on their trips. She expects to be gone most of the summer.

Robert Farning, brother of Clarence Farning of Colby, Route 2, died at a Chicago hospital Friday. Funeral services were held at Greenwood. His wife and two sons survive.

Dixie Lee Kocian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kocian, was elected vice president of Sigma Mu Tau, a professional organization of medical technologists at Central State College at Stevens Point.

Mrs. Theo Lueloff and daughters, Gertrude and Mrs. Ted Salter, spent the week-end at Sharon where they attended the confirmation of Kathy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orland Lueloff.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crossgrove were dinner guests Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer at Unity, Wis. Mrs. Alma Scott of Baraboo was a week-end guest at the Howard Crossgrove home. Mr. and Mrs. Sewell Cook of Wisconsin Rapids were guests at the Howard Crossgrove home Saturday.
