Kotchy, Anna (13 January 1863– 14 January 1951)
Mrs. Anna Kotchy, age 88, died at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield on Sunday, January 14, at 4 o’clock.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Novak officiating. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Kotchy was born in Europe on January 13, 1863, to Michel and Dorothy Mascek Plotz. She came to the United States when 18 years of age and worked in Chicago for several years. In June 1888 she was married to John Kotchy in Chicago, Ill. They then came to Clark County where they purchased a farm in the Town of York from Judge O’Neill, where she lived until her death.
She is survived by two children Art on the home farm, and Meta of Chicago, two brothers Joseph and Paul Plotz, and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Novak, of Chicago.
A brother Edward died in 1923 and a sister Katherine and a brother, James also preceded her in death.
