Gellert, Bernice (11 November 1916 - 7 January 1951)

Bernice Williams Gellert daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Williams of Pittsville, formerly of York, was born at Marshfield November 11, 1916. She attended public schools at Merry Vale and Granton graduating with the class of 1937.

She was later employed at Chicago. In July, 1941, she was married to Stephen Conley, who passed away August 11, 1944.

In June, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lloyd A. Gellert of Chicago. To this union was born a son, Dennis, April 17, 1948.

In the summer of 1949, she became ill and entered Oak Forest Tuberculosis Hospital in the fall. She died there January 7, 1951.

Funeral services were held from the Bethel Lutheran Church at Chicago, Rev. William Boehrn officiating. Burial was in the Glen Oak Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Dennis, her father and mother, five sisters and five brothers, her maternal grandfather Frank Lavey, also two uncles, Glen Lavey and Melford Williams of the Town of York.
