Hameloth, Judith K. (Nurse’s Training - 1971)
Judy K. Hameloth, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hameloth of Rt. 1, Willard, has completed her first seven
months of nurse’s training at Drury College and Burge School of Nursing at
Springfield, Mo., and has received her cap.
A 1970 graduate of Greenwood
High School, Miss Hameloth is attending Burge with the help of a financial
scholarship given to her by the Lester E. Cox Medical Center, a 600-bed-hospital
connected with the school of nursing. She expects to receive her R. N. degree in
1973 and her B. X. in 1974. Her future plans include a tour on the hospital ship
S. S. Hope and a career in public health nursing.
Miss Hameloth plans a
10-day vacation March 27 with her parents and sisters, Jane and Sally Jo. At
Springfield, she is in a class of 72 freshman students. She says that the
climate is great and that she likes the friendly Missouri people.
