Civil Leadership Courses (National Guard - 25 March 1971)
The
second in a series of civil disturbance leadership courses authorized recently
by the National Guard Bureau in Washington, D. C., was conducted March 20 and 21
at the Wisconsin National Guard Armory in Black River Falls. The training
mission is designed to upgrade small unit leadership and individual
responsibilities in civil disturbance operations and to improve unit readiness
in that area.
Selected guardsmen who attended the 16-hour session last
weekend from the Neillsville portion of the 106th Supply and Service Company
included CW3 Robert Free, PSG Earl Dayton, PSG Fred Kieser , SSG Chester
Diercks, SSG DeWayne Dux, SGT James Foote, SGT Dennis Goeres, SGT Wayne Kuhl,
SGT Roger Ingold, SGT David Mayer, SP5 Michael Moline and CPL Charles Hare.
The third phase of instruction will be given to all members of the local
Guard unit at the Neillsville Armory on Saturday, April 17.
The
specialized program has been authorized in addition to regularly-scheduled
assemblies.
Officers of the unit who attended 16 hours of instruction at
Camp Douglas on March 6 and 7 were 2LT Ronald K. Lawrence and 2LT Leslie J.
Delo.
