Agnes J. Zirngibl, 90, Medford, died on Tuesday,
Oct. 15 at Our House Assisted Living in Medford, where she had resided the past
two years, recently under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, Oct. 19 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Lourdu
Mandapati and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Interment will be at Dorchester
Memorial Cemetery in Dorchester. Pallbearers are Ken Hinke, and Ryan, Neil, Ned
and Tony Schumacher.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday
from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and
Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
The former Agnes
Schumacher was born on May 31, 1923 in Dorchester to the late Peter J. and Goldy
E. (Lapp) Schumacher. She attended Dorchester area schools.
On June 13,
1946 in Dorchester, she married Leo G. Zirngibl, who preceded her in death on
December 27, 1999. She was a housewife and mother, and lived in Medford for over
60 years.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and past member of
G.U.G. Germania. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening and spending time
at the cabin on Hulls Lake.
Survivors include two children, Phillip
(Sharon) Zirngibl of Alpharetta, Ga., and Colleen (Chris) Morton of Aurora,
Colo.; a brother, Robert (Dorothy) Schumacher of Dorchester; a sister, Marlene
(Bryce) Hinke of Medford; and two grandchildren, Emily Morton and Alec Zirngibl.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three
siblings, Verna Weber, Cecelia Johnson and Melvin Schumacher.
In lieu of
flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to Hope
Hospice of Medford.
