Jahnke, Jeffrey James (17 NOV 1968 - 1 NOV 2013)
Jeffrey James
Jahnke, 44, of Eau Claire, died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 with his family by his
side, at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire. He courageously battled a recent
diagnosis of cancer and pneumonia.
He was born on November 17, 1968 in
Eau Claire County to Jim and Sharon (Olson) Jahnke. Jeff graduated from Gilman
High School in 1987 and later from Chippewa Valley Technical College with a
degree in welding.
Everyone knew when Jeff was around because of his
distinctive and contagious laugh. He was a kind and generous man, a loving and
respectful son and worked very hard to be a good father. He was always willing
to help anyone in need and lend a helping hand. Jeff's happiest hours were spent
with a fishing pole in hand, deer hunting and watching his son play sports.
He is survived by his two children, Elizaebeth of Chippewa Falls and Austen
of Eau Claire; two sisters, Robyn Criego of Eau Claire and Kalen Jahnke of
Holcombe; and his mother, Sharon Risberg of Eau Claire.
He was preceded
in death by one son, Justin, and his father, James Jahnke.
Jeff's family
would like to thank Dr. Mary Misischia and nurse Jayne for their compassion and
support.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9
at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home. Pastor David Irgens will officiate.
Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m.
until the time of the service.
