Williams, Griffith B. (6 September 1873 - 9 February 1951)
Funeral services for Griffith B. Williams, 77, Town of Lynn, were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Virgil Nulton of Neillsville officiated. Burial was made in the Lynn Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams died suddenly on Friday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oscar Schier, at Lynn.
Mr. Williams was born at Dodgeville on September 6, 1873, to Samuel B. and Margaret Williams. He has lived in Clark County for the past 33 years.
He first worked in the mines at Dodgeville and in 1909 stated farming in Iowa County. In 1918 he moved to Clark County and purchased 80 acres in the Town of Lynn. He also lived at various times at Greenwood and Disco.
He was married to Susanna Conrad, March 16, 1903, in the Town of Grant. She preceded him in death June 17, 1950.
Surviving are two children: a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Schier, of the Town of Lynn, and a son, Dewey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A step-brother and a sister also survive.
The pallbearers at the service were: Chester Peterson, Leland Bass, Leslie Keuer, Louis Moore, Larry Stauffacher and Fred Wesenberg.
