Blado, Karl F. (2 June 1886 - 26 March 1951)

Funeral services for Karl F. Blado, 84, Loyal will be held on Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating. Burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery.*

Mr. Blado died Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Capelle, near Loyal.

Mr. Blado was born June 2, 1886, in Schonhagen, Germany. He came with his parents to this country at the age of 16, settling with them in the Town of Loyal. They purchased 80 acres of timber and after clearing the land, constructed a home there. This is the same home in which his son-in-law and daughter now reside.

His marriage to the former Emma Splittgerber took place March 29, 1894, at Loyal. She died June 18, 1917.

He is survived by his daughter, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a brother, and a sister, Mrs. William Haslow of Spencer.

*The name Blado is spelled Bloedow in the cemetery index.
