Hautamaki, Mary (8 July 1899 - 9 April 1951)

Funeral services for Mrs. John Hautamaki, 52, were held on Thursday, April 12, at 2 o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) in Owen. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Clayton Nielsen officiated. She died on Monday, April 9,1951, at her home south of Owen.

Mrs. Hautamaki was born at Kauhava, Finland, July 8, 1899, to the George Jutilas. At the age of six years she came to the United States and settled in Negaunee, Mich. She was married to John Hautamaki on April 16, 1915. Nine children were born to them.

Surviving are her husband, four sons, William, Vandy, Reino, and Edward; four daughters, Mrs. Eino (Ella) Kvisto, Negaunee, Mich., Mrs. Oscar (Esther) Buss, Owen, Mrs. William (Sylvia) Wilson of Owen and Evelyn at home. A son Reuben is deceased. Other surviving relatives are a brother, Tovio, Negaunee, Mich., and four sisters, Mrs. John Leppanen, Mrs. Donald Koski, Mrs. Roy Des Jardine and Mrs. Ray Neleva, all of Negaunee, Mich.

Pallbearers were: William Kanges, Arthur Himes, Wilfred Havelin, Ensio Bjorn, Viggo Rassmussen and James Peterson.
