Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack spent the week-end with relatives in Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Habeck spent the week-end in Oshkosh visiting relatives.
A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Polster at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital July 18.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jirschele at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital July 12.
Mrs. C. F. Preston suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital for treatments.
Rev. and Mrs. Victor Grosshuesch visited the past week with relatives in Illinois and vicinity.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hollman of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital July 12.
Rev. and Mrs. Wm. R. Christian and children spent several days visiting with relatives in Milwaukee and Mayville.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Draeger and children of Racine visited last week with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Draeger, Sr.
Dr. and Mrs. Frank Nelson and son of Ulm, Minn., spent the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wiersig and two children of Two Rivers visited Tuesday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Graham and son, David, of Brooklyn, N.Y., spent several days with the former’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Laap.
Marceline Hasenohrl and Christa Reitzenstein of Milwaukee are enjoying a two-week vacation at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hasenohrl of Colby, Route 2.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Habeck and children returned to their home in Wauwatosa Friday after visiting Mr. Habeck’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Habeck and other relatives in Colby and vicinity.
Mrs. James Lyons and children of West Allis and Linda and Joseph Steinwand of Lake Tomahawk were guests at the home of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand, last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wensauer returned to their home in Sheboygan Friday afternoon after spending the past week at the home of Mrs. Wensauer’s mother and brother, Mrs. Robert Schorer and Fred Schorer.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Witt and Mrs. Jack Leichtnam and children of Milwaukee spent the past week with the Witts son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Frome of Colby, and at the Harlan Witt home, Unity, Route 1.
Mrs. Edna Dins, Allen and Rita, accompanied by Mrs. Pearl Vorland, Mary, and Jimmy, spent Sunday with the former’s cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Celle of Two Rivers, at the Celle cottage at Sturgeon Bay.
Two Colby students - Philip G. Umhoefer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Umhoefer, and Gerald J. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Meyer of Colby, Route 1, visited the University of Wisconsin campus during the past week to register for U of W studies to be started with the opening of the university’s school year in September.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis K. Hildebrand and children arrived in Colby from San Diego, Calif., to visit at the home of her brothers, John and David Frane for a few weeks before leaving for Minneapolis, Minn., where they will make their future home. Hildebrand is in the U.S. Navy and will be stationed there.
Guests the past week at the Elroy Gutenberger home were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beyer and family of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frank Engel and Mrs. Frank Plochelman of Dorchester, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Gutenberger and daughter, Sharon, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Gutenberger were dinner guests at the Allen Gutenberger home at Neillsville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Gutenberger and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Gutenberger spent Sunday evening at Tomahawk at the Roy Gutenberger home.
