Fritz, Sharon Lee (Marriage - 15 July 1961)

Sharon Lee Fritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elton J. Fritz of Owen, Wisconsin, Route 2, and Gerhardt Weiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weiler of Colby, Route 2, exchanged marriage vows in the Holy Rosary church in Owen Saturday morning, July 15, at 9:30 o’clock, Father Grubel officiating at the ceremony. The church was decorated with garden flowers for the occasion.

The bride was attired in a princess style gown of white satin, bodice style and long sleeves, veil of imported silk illusion falling from a crown of pearls and crystals. Her cascade bouquet consisted of red roses, white mums and stephanotis.

Her attendants - Mrs. Diane Echert of Rhinelander, matron of honor, and the bridesmaids, Miss Laurie Fritz, a sister, and Miss Veronica Weiler - wore identical gowns of light blue chiffon, draped bodice with full skirts and matching veil hats. Their colonial bouquets consisted of blue mums and white carnations.

The groom was attended by Bernard Echert, his uncle, and Jerome Weiler, brothers.

A reception was held at the church parlors immediately after the ceremony.

The couple will make their home in Kenosha where the groom is employed.
