Obernberger, Beatrice M. (26 July 1917 - 17 Oct. 1993)

Private memorial services for Beatrice M. (Flink) Obernberger, 76, Stratford, who died Sunday at the Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Colby, will be held at a later date.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, is handling arrangements.

The former Beatrice Flink, daughter of the late August and Elsie (Peterson) Flink, was born July 26, 1917, in Unity, Wis. She was married to the late Frank J. Obernberger June 20, 1936, at St. Joseph’s Church, Stratford.

She and her husband farmed on the Flink farm in Unity until 1942. They owned the bowling center in Colby, Buck-A-Neer Supper Club, Rozellville, and the Sky Light Supper Club, Athens.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Geraldine) Belanger of Athens and Mrs. Eugene (Elaine) Schlag of Marshfield; two sons, Dale of Stratford and Larry of Vancouver, Wash., one brother, Conrad Flink of Colby; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Alice) Tesmer of Colby and Mrs. Peter (Linda) Wootos of Chicago, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
