Salvack, Bernice Ann (22 February 1915 - 28 October 2013)

Bernice A. Salvack, age 98, of Thorp, passed away at New Horizon Community Care, in Thorp, on Monday, October 28, 2013. Bernice had requested that no services be held.

Bernice Ann Milewski was born on February 22, 1915, on the family farm, in the Town of Withee, the daughter of Walter and Stella (Urbainski) Milewski. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Oak Vale School. Bernice was united in marriage to Peter F. Salvack on June 1, 1935, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. They farmed in the Town of Reseburg until her husband’s death on February 27, 1964. Bernice continued operating the farm until 1967, at which time she sold the farm and moved into Thorp. She resided in Thorp until the time of her death.

She was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends and going to the casino.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Kenneth (Theresa) Salvack of Stantonville, TN, and Louise Snyder of Hartford; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and six sisters.
