Miller, Richard (31 Oct 1888 - 30 Aug. 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roewe and Vilas attended the funeral of Mrs. Roewe’s brother, Richard Miller, a former resident of Colby, Wisconsin, who died Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Memorial Hospital at Sheboygan where he had been hospitalized the past nine weeks. Funeral services were held September 1 in the Trinity Lutheran church at Kiel and burial was made in the cemetery at New Holstein.

RICHARD F. MILLER

Richard F. Miller, 73, a retired Town of Rhine well driller died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Miller, who resided about a mile north of Rhine Center, had been hospitalized 10 weeks. A native of the Town of Schleswig, he was born Oct. 31, 1887, a son of the late Frederick and Augusta Sy Miller.

He attended district school and on March 25, 1909, married Anna Moeller of New Holstein. She died in February, 1933, and on Oct 16, 1935, he married Elsie Woerner of the Town of Plymouth. Mr. Miller had retired from his well drilling occupation in the area eight years ago.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Greve (Myrtle), R. 1, New Holstein, and Mrs. Richard Halamka (Helen), Milwaukee; a son, Lester, Valders; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John Streckert, Crandon, and Mrs. Carl Roewe, Colby, and a. brother, Amos, Rhine Center.

A daughter preceded him in death in 1928.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Church, Kiel, with the Rev. E. G. Behm, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in New Holstein City Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel from 3 p. m. Thursday to 11 a. m. Friday and from noon at the church.
