Greenwood (15 April1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cox returned Thursday after a month’s vacation in southern
states. They spent some time in Fulton, Ky., Memphis, Tenn.; Pompano Beach,
Fla.; and with their daughter and family in Palatine, Ill.
Mrs. Olive
Newman was admitted April 5 to the hospital in Marshfield.
Greenwood Pack
and Troop 58 news:
The greenwood pack and Troop 58 have submitted their
charter papers to the Scout Service Center in Eau Claire to be registered with
the Chippewa Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, for another year.
Leaders for the pack are Richard Larson, Cubmaster; Robert Vesel, pack chairman
and institutional representative; Ted Briski and Donald Decker, committeemen;
Mrs. Rita Carteron, Mrs. Corrine Larson and Mrs. Rita Mayenschein, Den Mothers.
The pack is sponsored by St. Mary’s Church and registered 29 Cub Scouts and
nine adult leaders. Meetings are held each Monday at the school.
Troop
58 is sponsored by the Greenwood Rotary Club and registered 22 Boy Scouts and
eight adult leaders, with Ronald Novak as Scoutmaster; Don Fontaine, Chairman;
Norman Mayenschein, Assistant Scoutmaster; Harlan Brux, Earl Caliebe, Arnold
Kappus and Robert Schneider, committeemen; Edward Gregorich, institutional
representative. Meetings are held on Tuesdays at the Scout building.
