McBride, Alice B. (12 January 1909 - 12 April 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice B. McBride, 62, of Rt. 1 Loyal, who died April 12, in Neillsville, were held Friday, April 16, at 2 p.m. from the Roycraft Funeral home in Loyal. The Rev. Leroy Gross, pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood, officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mrs. McBride, the former Alice Sweetberg, was born January 12, 1909, at Marshalltown, Ia., where she received her education. Her marriage to Winiford McBride took place in Marshalltown on January 22, 1927. The couple farmed in that area until 1960 when they moved to a farm in Clark County. Mrs. McBride was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood.

Survivors , in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Hanlin of Montour, Ia., Mrs. Lloyd (Joan) Barker of Marshalltown, Ia., and Mrs. Lynn (Irene) Ward of Loyal; six sons: Robert of Green Mountain, Ia., Wilford of Marshalltown, Ia., Leon of Saginaw, Mich., Eugene of Grand Rapids, Mich., Ronald and Richard of Loyal; and 36 grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters: Mrs. Carl (Rachel) Hofefty and Mrs. Lyle (Eva) Abbott of Colorado, and Mrs. Esther Hedberg of Loyal; and a brother, Harold Sweetberg of Faribault, Minn.
