Reynolds, Nancy Jane (Marriage - 16
April 1971)
Miss Nancy Jane Reynolds became the bride of Bill Leichtnam
Friday evening, April 16, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. The Rev.
Gerald F. Schuh performed the double ring ceremony before 135 guests. The
parents of the couple are Mr. and DMRs. James H. Reynolds of Rt. 1 Dorchester
and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Leichtnam of Abbotsford.
Given in marriage by her
mother and father, the bride wore a lace empire-style gown fashioned with an
A-line front. Scalloped lace ruffles trimmed the neckline and the cuffs of the
long, narrow sleeves. The full, cage-style back swept to a scalloped hemline.
Her full-length mantilla veil was trimmed with scalloped lace edging. She
carried a cascade bouquet of red roses, white carnations, lily of the valley and
stephanotis.
Maid-of-honor was Miss Debbie Reynolds of Wausau wearing an
orchid empire-style, floor-length pant-dress of chiffon over taffeta. Bridesmaid
Miss Margaret Reynolds of Dorchester wore a similarly-styled costume in mint
green. Both carried baskets of yellow Spanish daisies, white daisies, sprigs of
mint-green and orchid forget-me-nots.
Robert Leichtnam of Davidson, Mi.,
was the bestman. Groomsman was Larry Hansen of St. Paul, Mn. and Daniel Reynolds
and Eddie Leichtnam served as ushers. Organ music by Miss Mary Ann Staap
included the song “Somewhere My Love.” The Seybold sisters sang. A reception for
135 guests was held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.
The bride will
graduate in May from the Eau Claire City College of Cosmetology. The groom, a
member of Phi Kappa Phi, will graduate from Eau Claire State University in May.
The newlyweds are living in Chippewa Falls.
