Guyette, Helen (27 AUG 1951)
St. Mary’s Church was decorated with garden flowers for 10 o’clock mass of Helen Guyette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Guyette, Rte. 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Victor Drozd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Drozd, Stanley, Aug. 27th, 1951.
The Rev. Ralph Geissler read the double ring vows. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin skirt, lace top buttoned to the waist in front, with long sleeves, and Peter Pan collar. Her fingertip veil fastened to a ruffled tiara trimmed with pearls. She carried Easter lilies tied with satin and net.
Bonnie Reit was maid of honor and Mary Reit was bridesmaid. They wore white dresses with satin tops and organdy skirts. They carried red gladiolas tied with white satin.
Attendants of the groom were Edmund Drozd, best man, and Harold Guyette, groomsman. Jack Reit was usher.
The bride’s mother wore a steel gray crepe dress and the groom’s mother black and white print crepe. Their corsages were of white mums.
A dinner was held at the bride’s home for immediate families, and a reception from 2 to 6. A wedding dance was held at Stanley.
Mrs. John Reit and Mrs. Joe Krall gave a prenuptial shower.
