Wargolewicz, Katherine (1870 - 5 OCT 1951)

Mrs. Peter Wargolewicz passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her body was brought to the Thorp Funeral Home on Sunday. Here it lay in state until Tuesday, the day of burial.

Mrs. Peter Wargolewicz (Katherine Prusaszik) was born in Poland in 1870. At the age of 18 years she came to New York and on Sept. 14, 1888, she was married to Peter Wargolewicz in Albion, N.Y. Twelve years later she and her husband came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where they started farming. They resided on this farm in the Town of Withee until the day of their death. Her husband passed away on Jan. 16, 1950.

She leaves to mourn her death, two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Mary) Klugiewicz and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Mamayek of Milwaukee, and eight sons, Thomas, Joe, John, Anthony, Walter, of Milwaukee, and Steve of Cudahy, Wis.., Frank and Stanley of Thorp, and 37 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her two sisters, Mrs. Mary Mamayek and Mrs. Frances Mamayek survive her.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, Revs. Francis Piekarski, J. Kamla and Herbert Zoromski officiating, and interment following in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Pfc. Ray Wargolet, James Wargolet, Joe Wargolet Jr., Ralph Mamayek, Thomas Klugiewicz and Leon Klugiewicz.

Ray Wargolet and girl friend Jen, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Klugiewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mamayek, Mr. and Mrs. John Wargolet, son Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mamayek, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mamayek, Anthony Wargolet, Joe Wargolet, son Joe, Walter Wargoelt, son Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Slowiak, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wargolet, Mr. and Mrs. John Mamayek, Walter Mamayek, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Klugiewicz, son Lee, Mrs. Barney Mamayek, daughter Mary, Allen and Mrs. George Strok, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wargolet and daughter Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Wargolet and children, of Cudahy; Mr. and Mrs. Sig Debowski, daughter Mary, of Villa Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Klugiewicz of Chicago
