Johnson, Elaine (Marriage - 10 May 1941)

The Rev. William Siegel, pastor of Our Savior’s Church, Iron Mountain, Mich., on May 10 read the services which united in marriage Miss Elaine Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ? Johnson, Iron Mountain, and ?ward Brocker of Iron River, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Brocker of Abbotsford, Wis. The attendants were Miss Catherine Lundy and Bernard ? of Iron River.

The bride was attired in a suit of powder blue silk crepe, the front of which was appliquéd in a leaf design. She wore a large felt hat of navy blue, and had navy blue accessories. Her all pink lapel bouquet was of ? and sweet peas.

Miss Lundy had chosen a brown and white silk crepe afternoon dress, which she wore with brown gloves, brown and white shoes, and a picture hat at multi-colored straw. Her shoulder bouquet was of yellow roses and daisies.

The wedding luncheon, for the bridal party and the families, was served at one o’clock at the Johnson home. Places for 15 were set at a table arranged in a color scheme of ? and white. Flowers, candles and ? cards were used on the table, the center of which was the bride’s three-tier cake.

Following a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Brocker will be at home at Seldor Road in Iron River, where the groom has been employed for the past 18 months in the line department at the Wisconsin-Michigan Power Co. Mr. Brocker was graduated from the Abbotsford High School with the class of 1936.

Mrs. Brocker graduated from the Iron Mountain High School in 1936, and has been employed for the last ? years in the line and motor department of the power company’s Iron Mountain office.

I am in search of a August Brocker of Joliet Illinois. Approx. 72 or 73 years old I know his father owned a body shop and work on midget cars. August Brocker also help his father and possible has a daughter. August lived with his parents 1965 in Joliet, IL. Any help finding this family history line would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you Lee
