Thompson, Thea #2 (26 APR 1885 - 4 JAN 1949)

Miss Thea Thompson passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4th, 1949, at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matthias, after a long illness.

She was born in Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) on April 26, 1885, and was a life long teacher in the public schools. The last 22 years she taught in the Beloit city school system. The past year she was at her home all of the time because of her illness. She was a graduate of the Colby High School and the Central State Teachers College at Stevens Point.

Surviving are four sister, Mrs. Frank Matthias and Mrs. Edwin Peterson of Curtiss, Mrs. J. E. Simpson, Sturgeon Bay and Mrs. Ida Peterson of Monroe, Wash. Three brothers, Theo and Arthur of Curtiss, and Oscar of Los Angeles, Calif., also survive her. One brother, Lt. Carl Thompson, lost his life while serving in World War I.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. G. E. Borreson officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot of the parish cemetery.
