Pudlas, John F. #2 (10 MAR 1912 - 30 JAN 1949)
Word was received Sunday night by relatives of the sudden death of John F. Pudlas, age 36, at his home in Forreston, Ill.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) where he grew to manhood. He was a graduate of the Owen High School. Later he then learned the cheese making trade being an employee of the Laabs Cheese Co. at Curtiss, later being employed by other factories before he and his family moved to Forreston where they have resided for the past several years.
On Nov. 11, 1931 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Orth of Colby, Wisconsin, who survives. They have one daughter, Donna Mae and four sons, Jerold, John Jr., Paul and James, ranging in age from seventeen months to five years. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas, Curtiss, and three sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Esther) Thompson, Curtiss, Mrs. Wilfred (Dorothy) Marcott of Abbotsford and Mrs. Toivo (Grace) Kallio, Curtiss.
Funeral services were conducted this morning at 9:30 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial being made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
