Gipp, Don L. (28 JAN 1950 - 3 NOV 2013)

Don L. Gipp, age 63, 4925 Talbot Road, Tripoli died unexpectedly on, Sunday, November 3, 2013. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. Reverend Al Houts will officiate. Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at the Maurina- Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and on Friday, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church in Unity.

Don was born January 28, 1950 in Medford, Wisconsin, the son of David and Esther (Tohm) Gipp. He married Susan Justman on March 7, 1970 in Marshfield, Wisconsin and on that same day, he was drafted into the US Army, and served in the Vietnam War.

For the past fifteen years, he was the owner and operator of Gipper's Reel Em Inn located in the Willow River Region. He lived for hunting and fishing, and adored his family-especially his grandchildren.

Don is lovingly survived by his wife; Sue Gipp of Tripoli, son; Corey (Jennifer) Gipp of Hatley, brothers; Cliff (Susan) Gipp of Northfield, MN, Keith Gipp of Dorchester. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Hunter and Olivia Gipp.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the Gipp family with funeral arrangements.
