Mundt, Carl (31 Dec. 1892 - 29 Jan. 1962)
Carl Mundt, a former resident of Colby, died Monday at the age of 69 years in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, where he had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Russell Deng. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in the Zion Lutheran church and internment will be made in the Stetsonville cemetery. The body is reposing at the Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mr. Mundt was born on December 31, 1892 in Russia. He went to South America and lived there for five years and then returned to Russia. In 1914, he and his sister, Mrs. Alda Corneilius, came to Canada and lived there for a year after which he came to the Stetsonville area and later to Colby, Wis. While here, he owned and operated the Mundt Auto Sales. In April of 1961 they moved to Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Herta) Deng of Mount Clemens, Mich., and Mrs. Paul (Alice) Farrier of Phoeniz, Ariz., and a sister, Mrs. [missing from the original text] him in death.

Funeral services for Carl Mundt were held at the Zion Lutheran church Friday afternoon with Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, Burial was made in the Stetsonville cemetery Pall bearers were Chas. Sabler, Frank Marquardt, Emil Mertens, Fred Schwierske, Andrew Kaiser and William Ebert.
Out-of-town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Russel Deng, Loy, Christine and Gretchen Deng of Mount Clemens, Mich., Mrs. Amanda Diedrich of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cornelius, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cornelius, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Viergutz and Mrs. Emelie Pflug of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Diedrich of Milwaukee and many friends from Stetsonville, Medford and the surrounding area.
