Schilling, Dorothy (Marriage - 31 May 1941)
Miss Dorothy Schilling, daughter of Mrs. John Schilling, of West Allis, became the bride of Gilbert Kiefer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kiefer, Saturday morning at eight o’clock in St. Bernard’s Catholic church. The Rev. C. D. Brady officiated at the service before the high altar on which were placed vases of salmon gladioli.
The bride made a lovely picture in her gown of white silk crepe sheer with a lace yoke and short puffed sleeves. Lace edged the sleeves and her train on dress and veil. The short illusion veil and the long veil hung from a dainty halo of wax flowers. The bride wore a gold cross and chain and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses tied with a large ? bow.
Her sister’s only attendant was Miss Norma Schilling, also of West Allis. She wore a gown of pink sheer ? with a flower halo to which was fastened a short pink veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses tied with pink ribbon.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents in the Town of Holton.
Mrs. Schilling and daughter, Norma, West Allis, were the only guests from away who attended the wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Kiefer left Sunday for Waukesha where they will make their home. Mr. Kiefer is employed here as clerk in the Service Department of the Waukesha Motor Works.
