Mock, Laura (Marriage - 14 May 1941)

A wedding of interest here is that of Miss Laura Mock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mock, of Modena to Fred Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lane, of Durand.

Miss Mock attended high school here for two years and has spent several summers with the James Fults family.

The wedding took place at 10:30 A.M. at the Methodist church in Durand on Wednesday, May 14. The Rev. Gerhard read the double ring service.

The bride wore a floor length gown of blue taffeta with a head band of pink roses. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers.

The groom’s brother-in-law and sister were the couple’s only attendants. The matron of honor wore a gown of rose taffeta.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the groom’s parents to about 75 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Keller’s hall near Durand.

Mr. and Mrs. Lane are making their home on the farm of the groom’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. James Fults and family attended the wedding.
