Mainland, Ann (Marriage - 6 June 1941)
The following account of the marriage of Miss Ann Mainland is taken from the Stevens Point Daily Journal:
At Savannah, Georgia, on Friday afternoon, June 6, Miss Ann Mainland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mainland, 1126 Clark Street, Stevens Point, became the bride of Lieutenant Harvey N. Brown, son of A. G. Brown of Manawa. The ceremony was read at 5 o’clock at St. John’s Episcopal church by Rev. Ernest Risley. Lieut. and Mrs. Brown are making their home on White Bluff Road, Savannah.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of Central State Teachers College, where the bride was a member of Tau Gamma Beta sorority and the groom was affiliated with Chi Delta Rho fraternity. The bride taught home economics in the Abbotsford High School the past year. Lieutenant Brown, who is a graduate of the advance flying school at Kelly Field, Texas, is now assigned to the 13th bombardment squadron, Savannah air base.
