Lavrence, Frances Charlotte (Marriage - 8 June 1951)
Miss Frances Charlotte Lavrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lavrence, became the bride of Ralph J. Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Benson, at a ceremony performed at the Methodist Church at Neillsville on Friday afternoon, with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.
The bride was attired in a navy blue suit with white accessories. White roses and lilies of the valley fashioned her corsage.
Miss Elva Schafer, cousin of the bride, who acted as her bridesmaid, was dressed in a grey suit with white accessories. Her corsage was of yellow roses. Ervin Silkey acted as best man.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. When the bridal couple return from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota they will be at home on a farm near Christie.
Mrs. Benson was graduated from Greenwood High School and from Stevens Point State Teachers College. She has taught the past two years at the Globe rural school and will teach the Uncle Same School the coming year. Mr. Benson attended Neillsville High School.
